Working towards results as a team is my primary goal. Respect for everyone's position and values is crucial in achieving this.
The past few years I have worked on my skills to become a person who is able to lead people, instead of managing resources. This is a day to day struggle of which I only passed the first few stages (of many).
My successes are mainly the result of having the opportunity to work with the best people and having a supporting wife and son!

The e-Inspecties programme gives an irreversible impulse to the cooperation between inspectorates by smart use of ICT for a smaller and better working government.
The team has grown to approx. 35 people (architects, project management, general staff, software development and maintenance), reporting directly to the portfolio manager ICT of the Council of State Inspectorates (NL: Inspectieraad).
Main vision is the use joint systems: central components (85-90% generic) and tailor made software (approx. 10%-15% specific). In 2007 and 2008 the team has implemented Digital Dossiers (Transportation and Fireworks) and Joint Inspection Rooms (Hazardous Companies, Chemical Companies and Childcare). More systems and implementations will follow in 2009 and onwards.
Funded in 2006-2007 by the Ministries of Internal (BZK) and Economic (EZ) Affairs jointly with the State Inspectorates. In 2008 the Dutch government has granted 24,5 mln euro for the continuation of the e-Inspection programme.

After the desastrous results of an explosion of a small chemical plant in Seveso (It.), EU regulations make inspections work closely together on safety inspections of companies storing a certain amount of explosive materials. Dutch regulation, BRZO (www.brzo99.nl) appoints approx. 400 BRZO companies to be inspected jointly by the Labor Inspection, Fire Department and local authorities. An improved New Inspection Methodology (NIM) has been developed.
The NIM-BRZO programme (8 pers.) has developed and implemented the Joint Inspection Room, a virtual collaboration environment supporting the NIM in which inspectors jointly observe, write their findings and draw conclusions. At the end of this process a ready to be sent End-Report will be generated.
The system is in operation since september 2007. Because of it's flexibility it will be used in the e-Inspections programma. Therefore these programmes have been merged on juli 1, 2007.
