Hilary Mason’s Summary
I am a computer science professor in a new media department. I love pushing the boundaries of technology and studying the consequences of innovation. Right now, I am obsessed with virtual worlds and metrics for virtual worlds, data visualization, and AJAX web systems and how all of these tools can be used to improve people's experiences.
I am also responsible for creating and advising (along with Mehdi Moutahir) a multidisciplinary experiential service-learning study abroad program where students use their technology and business skills to address social problems in third-world countries.
