A background of over thirty-six years in corporate America with a world leader in earthmoving equipment manufacturing offered numerous, diverse, and challenging experiences. Employment experience included learning and adapting to the corporate culture of various owners, including General Motors, White Motors, Daimler-Benz, Volvo, Clark Equipment Corporation, Clark Michigan, and Hitachi. Six years as a consultant for Euclid-Hitachi.
Returned to school at age 49 and embarked on a second career as an author, speaker, trainer, and consultant. Has spoken in various parts of the United States, spoken internationally and aboard cruise ships in both the Atlantic and Pacific. In 2004 addressed members and guests of the Austrailian Shareholders Association in Sydney, Australia.
Vast, diverse and lengthy history of community service and involvement, primarily focused on promoting individual responsibility and accountability, and economic literacy. Service includes active involvement in several organizations including over twenty years with BDPA Information Technology Thought Leaders. Former board member of the Northeast Ohio Council of the National Association of Investors (NAIC).
Other service includes lengthy associations and support of Cuyahoga Community College (TRI-C), the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation (HOBY), speaking on numerous occasions for both organizations. Co-founder of the Ford-Bryson chapter of the Hansie Solomon Reunion, and founder of the Synnia Solomon Scholarship Fund. Former contributing writer for Purpose and Black Enterprise magazines, former writer for the Twinsburg Bulletin, and taught adult education classes in the Twinsburg and Solon school systems. Former Deputy Director of the 9th Street Project’s 1000 Churches Program.
