Helen Dunnett’s Summary

HELEN DUNNETT - in July 2009, Helen launched her own consultancy providing strategic communication services, with a particular focus on web 2.0.

Previously Helen lead web-based communication and social media strategies at European Crop Protection Association (ECPA), Brussels, Belgium, increasing visibility, understanding and stimulating debate on key issues effecting the crop protection industry. Helen was also responsible for devising and implementing a web-based knowledge management system which fast became an integral tool to support ECPA's knowledge, communication & event management activities. Helen worked at ECPA from 2001 to 2009.

With a training in fine arts & photography, Helen started her career in 1988 as a freelance photographic stylist in London. However, after two years she changed direction joining a charity theatre company in Scotland which devised theatre productions with and performed by the homeless, young offenders and children at risk. During six years with this award-winning charity, she was responsible for public relations and tours, fundraising and was general manager for 3 years.

Helen then returned to London in 1996 and the private sector to work for a PR and event management agency as an account manager on international marketing and communication projects as well being an event director for high profile sporting events.

In 2000, she moved to Belgium and started a new chapter, which besides work, includes two (gorgeous) children, the ocassional run and hockey.
