Helena Pugsley’s Summary
I am an IT Service Manager working for IBM based in Hursley, Hampshire. I am currently responsible for managing the internal IT services for the whole of the software development organisation within the UK. I joined IBM in 1998 and have held various technical professional and leadership positions in software development, test and IT technical support.
In addition to my role, I am an ambassador for IBM in promoting science, technology and engineering to encourage more girls into the field and, in turn, develop IBM's long-term pipeline of female technologists. This is demonstrated by my significant contributions to the IBM Women In Technology Programme, Women's Leadership Team and On Demand Community which has been recognised both internally to IBM on a corporate level and externally through the Government sponsored Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics Network (SETNET), national press and other organisations such as the British Computer Society and Women into Science and Engineering (WISE) Campaign.
