I am a bilingual marketing and branding professional with 8+ years of marcom and advertising experience, coupled with Bachelor's degrees in both Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
The past 4 years I have been running my own marketing firm, Knockout Marketing Strategies. We are a full-service agency that provides marketing services for amusement, retail and restaurant clients, specifically within the franchise industry, with a focus on local store marketing.
My previous full-time position was as the Field Marketing Manager at Monkey Joe's, a family entertainment center, that is owned by Raving Brands, an international franchise incubator. In this role, I was responsible for developing and executing all corporate and franchisee marketing and branding initiatives. I have also been employed both as a Marketing Projects Manager for a small art promotions company and managed a team of account executives dedicated to healthcare clients.

Knockout will create and execute your marketing and social media plans, as well as establish and manage your advertising calendars. Account Manager at TwinB Creative, a start-up branding and website development firm.
Organized, crafted and executed all corporate promotions and projects for Monkey Joe’s, an indoor inflatable family entertainment center. Oversaw creative process and brand management of marketing collateral, ads and POP for Monkey Joe’s corporate and franchisees (40 locations that generate $30 million in annual revenue), including being responsible for marketing communications and branding for the corporate location to include strategy, project management and implementation which resulted in a 30% increase in sales. Worked with franchisees to develop local store marketing strategies and plans, including advertising, guerilla marketing techniques, fundraising/group sales and events. Supported site map and creative layout, wrote and edited copy and participated in testing to launch new monkeyjoes.com website.
Managed the undergraduate and MBA recruiting process for the Corporate & Investment Banking group, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Revamped the suntrust.com/campus website, including creating and editing the internship pages plus handled creative design and copywriting for any advertising/marketing collateral and promotional products. Planned recruiting and social events for interviewees and student organizations.
Supervised a team of 9 account executives who handled ad placement, design and brand management, along with advertising, interactive media and sales strategy for a profile of healthcare clients. Served as Account Executive for 4 major healthcare systems. Represented the team at new business presentations (BryanLGH Medical Center- $350,000; Henry Ford Health System- $1.5 million; Lakeland Regional Medical Center- $600,000 clients) and client meetings.
Assisted in the conception and design of a variety of Tinwood Media projects, including creation of a successful retail strategy for all Tinwood branded and licensed products. Contributed to the development of the Tinwood portfolio of brands and special market channels. Managed all public relations surrounding major art exhibitions.
Managed all aspects of recruiting for allied health, professional, clerical, and support services openings. Worked with department managers, recruiters and advertising agencies to develop a successful marketing and PR strategy for the healthcare system, which increased hiring and retention by 20%. Supervised the HR representative for recruiting.
