Sydney Hedderich’s Summary

Sydney Hedderich is a certified photographer and freelance writer who delivers unique points of view in business, politics, health and lifestyle. Her work has been published in magazines, newspapers, websites, newsletters and trade reports.

She is a member of the Professional Photographers Association of America (PPA) and a pending member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC).

Sydney's versatile background in business and the arts, her interest in science, and her investigative skills make her a quick study in areas that need to be well understood before they are clearly communicated. She currently pursues certification in Creative Writing through Continuing Studies at The University of Western Ontario in London. Prior, she completed courses in Magazine Publishing through Continuing Education at Ryerson University in Toronto, from where she also earned a certificate in Photography Studies. Her earlier education includes a Graduate Management Diploma from the Centre for Continuing Education at McGill University in Montreal (1984), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts (1974). Before earning her B.A., Sydney was briefly enrolled in pre-medicine at Northwestern University in Illinois.

A dual citizen of Canada and Venezuela with deep roots in both countries, Sydney was born in Toronto and grew up in Caracas. She has lived in several cities in the United States and Canada before moving to London, Ontario in 2008. Well travelled in the Americas and in Europe, she dominates the English and Spanish languages. She also navigates the waters reasonably in French and choppily in German.
