In March of 2008, chocolate grabbed hold of me, and has not since let me go. I find myself standing over a new batch of melting chocolate, giggling as I choose flavors to blend and share with friends; up late reading about the history of chocolate; hopping from one wikipedia entry to another to read about the ecology of my ingredients; generating spreadsheets to project the potential of starting a business based on my concoctions; repeating and refining my recipes, day after day; and generally immersing myself in my new favorite subject.
Assuming that all the ducks line up properly, I intend to launch this business in the next year and – using only the revenue stream from the business itself – build it into a global chocolate collective that works for world peace through sexy desserts for everyone.
Group facilitation; strategic planning; management practices; decisionmaking systems; mediation and dispute resolution; crafting, memorizing, and reciting stories, especially as a collaborative effort; kinesthetic learning and activity; discovering, describing, and demonstrating new ways to move bodies, people, and organizations in relation with themselves and each other. And now, everyone tells me that they love my chocolate.
