Coming from a family full of creative professionals, I was exposed to art and design at an early age. I got my start at a service bureau doing graphic production, drum scanning, color correcting, and film output for 4-color printing, which gave me a strong production background and technical understanding of all the factors that go into producing a great finished piece. From there, I went on to become the in-house designer for a non-profit television association, NATPE, where I was promoted to art director. As the only in-house designer, I was able to plan all levels of creative production, take all types of print projects from concept to completion, prepare exhibition graphics for their annual conference & exhibition, and redevelop their identity and brand materials. I also spent some time at BLT where I adapted key art for major films into full ad campaigns [magazine, newspaper, outdoor & environmental]. Most recently, I was a senior graphic designer for EarthLink, which allowed me to develop fresh looks for new products as well as uphold longstanding brand identity for existing services.
For more than 10 years, I have maintained a freelance practice, which is what I am dedicated to full-time now. It has always been my goal to work on a variety of projects that allow for new ideas to drive great design, and now I have that opportunity in my full-service print design studio.
Mastery of current versions of QuarkXpress, Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of all other mainstream graphic software on a Mac platform. Basic Web skills with both hand coding, Dreamweaver and ImageReady. Complete understanding of Macintosh operating systems [Classic and OS X]. Quick to learn any new software. Extensive knowledge of printing process and graphic production. Comfortable working directly with all levels of management, clients and vendors.
