Robert Haverly’s Summary

I'm a 100% self taught GUI designer and front end developer. I've spent years in the field for no reason other than my passion for what I do. I have an expert level knowledge of XHTML and CSS and pride myself in my ability to quickly and efficiently write standards compliant code while never needing to sacrifice design.

I treat every project as though it's my own, and I wont be happy with a design or development job until it's something that I would be proud to have my name on.

I write my code in a text editor, avoiding any sort of WYSIWYG editor like the plague. I have an overall knowledge of PHP and MySQL and am quite comfortable working deep in the backend of any given CMS in order to modify it's output to suite a design or functionality.

Most (if not all) of my design work is done in Adobe Fireworks, however I do have basic knowledge and general experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator - they just aren’t my tools of choice.

I have a passion for colors and abstract textures, while also maintaining a long lived obsession with white space and simplicity. I pick up new technologies and software fairly quickly as long as some hands on use is involved, and have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
