I started Sussex Geek Dinners to bring people together to talk about technical things over some food, as many people don't have other technical people in their family or friendship groups.
The evenings start with a guest speaker talking on a technical subject, followed by a buffet, and a couple of hours to socialise with other programmers, web developers, system administrators, students and anyone else with an interest in computers, gadgets and the internet.

I set up a daily build machine using MSBuild to improve the build process and reduce bugs. I set up a wiki for the team to make communication easier and documentation less frustrating.
I also wrote a reusable web framework using ASP.NET 2.0, incorporating some of the new features, such as master pages.
