Senior Multimedia Developer at TriMM Interactive Media
Enschede Area, Netherlands
I am a pragmatic multimedia developer educated at an academic level with about 22 years of hands on experience in a diverse set of tools & languages, of which the last 10 years in a professional setting as senior multimedia developer in a multimedia company. My academic background and work experience combined result in knowing how things should be done, seeing how things could be done, deciding how things will be done, and accepting how things are done.
My experience ranges from demo development in my younger years to large scale elearning system development to hacking bits together in the Flash Bitmap API, making you realize that knowlegde gathered in turbo assembler at 15 can still be useful in Flash at 32.
Although I've developed applications in Java, Javascript, PHP, MSAccess, and worked on backend systems utilizing databases such as MySQL and Oracle, my heart lies with frontend development of multimedia applications such as RIA's, (serious) games and 'flashy' websites.
My responsibilities on projects fall into the categories of acquisition, functional/interaction design including leading use case sessions, design, technical architecture development, implementation and process management.
I am specialized in Object Oriented Design and System Development. Meaning I'm well versed in subjects such as frameworks, design patterns and when to throw them all out of the window. Although this knowledge is largely language independent, the last few years have been dedicated to front end technologies such as Flash.
