Hal Werner’s Summary

I'm an extremely driven copywriter with strong writing and conceptual skills. I believe in suggesting the correct solution, even if that solution isn't copy. I tend to think of ads holistically, not just from a copy standpoint, and sometimes come up with ads that are almost entirely visual. I think big picture and can do anything from writing a single piece that mirrors the voice a company has had for years or come up with an entire campaign from TV to promotions and unconventional OOH to PR angles.

GOALS
I seek to become a world-class copywriter. I want to be able to move millions with 5 words or less. I want to work on the big campaigns. I want to work on fully-integrated campaigns. I'd certainly like to make ACD one day, but that's probably many years down the road. For now, I'm happy to work at an agency that will help nurture and mold my skills and compensate me fairly for my work.

I have an uncanny amount of broadcast, branding and corporate identity experience for my years. I have the advantage of a background in PR and a light, informal background in design that helps me think of projects in light of the entire marketing mix. I've also been told my concepting skills (coming up with the big idea) are extremely strong. I even speak a little German.
