My passion for libraries began when I learned how to read, and my fascination with technology began when I learned how to type. My background in linguistics and my experience with the Internet inspire me to explore the relationship between people and information.
Since 1996, I have worked in academic, corporate, and public libraries as well as web production, content management, and copyediting.
I also have over two decades of experience creating and maintaining online communities via BBSes, Diversi-Dials, IRC, mailing lists, MUDs, forums, blogs, Second Life, and social media.
