I’m a system architect and developer with project and team leader experience. I have long experience of developing applications on a number of different platforms. I am innovative and can work independently. I think I am a good team leader as well as a good member of a team. I always try to express my opinions and ideas, though never afraid of being proven wrong. I like being part of the project cycle from idée, design, development and all the way to a finished project. I feel comfortable communicating with both customers and co workers. With my experience of working in Belgium and USA, I feel comfortable communicating in English, both in verbal and written form.

My main focus for the last fifteen years has been as a developer of web applications and system integration. I have concentrated on technical design, system architecture and development, while leaving graphic design to more skilled interface and graphic designers. I have always been trying to be innovative and working with new technologies. During the last nine years I have also assumed the role of technical project leader in many projects.

I would like to continue working with application architecture, design and development mainly using the .NET framework. I would like to work more with solution architecture and design without leaving development behind. I would like to have a use for my passion in Lean and Agile principals and methods. The role as project/team leader is interesting for me as well.

My current special interests are in the following areas:
• System development methodologies – I’m very interested in using Lean and Agile methodologies like Scrum and XP. Test driven development is a practice I want to continue using.
• Design patterns – I’m very interested in expanding my knowledge in the area of software design patterns.
• Craftsman ship – I’m a firm believer in the movement about software craftsman ship.

My focus was on developing and introducing a new it development process based on Lean and Agile principals. I was also responsible for the software architecture and was a member of the IT management team. I started the transition to a more modern technical architecture and started the knowledge building in the area of modern object oriented programming, unit testing, design patterns and domain driven design.
I also did some system development in C#/VB.NET for various systems. I introduced Visual Studio Team System for source control, continuous integration, auto deployment, work item tracking and development process control.
