I've been trained as a marketeer with a communication research background, but technology is my passion. Prior to communication studies I endeavored to become an electrical engineer and a computer scientist, but neither study included the social elements I craved in my education. Now I get the best of both worlds.
My niche is the overlap between these two worlds, the point where technology and marketing meets. How do you use technology to create new possibilities for marketing? And how do you use marketing to sell new technologies? Nothing stays the same for long here and I want to be at the frontier.

MSc. , Marketing Communication , 2008 — 2009
After having finished all my master courses for this track I am performing the research for my masters' thesis.
BSc. , Communication Studies , 2002 — 2008
The first dotcom bubble proved that there was still a lot of road to cover where technology and marketing overlapped (and that people needed more common sense. But that's a subject for another time). I already had a great interest in marketing and advertising from a creative viewpoint during my youth. Communication studies provided an academic foundation where I could combine my love for technology with my interest in marketing.
For my bachelor thesis I researched the the brand and product image of the Microsoft Xbox 360 compared to its competitors (Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii) in the gamer target audience.
Propedeuse , Computer Science , 2000 — 2002
I thoroughly enjoyed my switch to the software side. But after attaining the propedeuse diploma I realized I was not a born coder, not like the best of my classmates were. They ate, dreamt, slept code. I felt I was still in the wrong field, that I wasn't fulfilling my potential.
Electrical Engineering 1998 — 2000
Technology has always been a passion of mine, I was practically glued to my computer during high school. Designing computers seemed an appropriate career choice, but after two years I discovered I was far more interested in software than hardware.
