Web designer at The Open University
Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
I have been with the Open University since 2002. My job title is "Web designer" which is a broad term which included user experience design, information architecture, interaction design, graphic design (Fireworks, Photoshop, Flash), web standards coding (HTML, CSS), programming (PHP), databases (MySQL), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and more.
I'm also a trained project manager who's worked with various methodologies including PRINCE2. The Open University has it's own methodology, ProjectWare but I mostly subscribe to the "Web Workflow that Works" as authored by Kelly Goto and Emily Cottler. I have internal and external consulting skills and studied communications at A level and first degree level.
