I’ve been working as a Software Test Manager, managing test projects in the software development area, throughout all their lifecycle, being responsible to ensure the test schedule, quality and requirements are met. Usually, I’ve been working with multiple projects at a time, which vary in terms of team size, duration and complexity, and most of them have more than one team engaged.
Main Activities Performed:
- Functional and Operational Management of Test Team;
- Test project planning activities (scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, project goals, communication, resources);
- Test project tracking and monitoring, since the analysis phase until the execution phases and software integration into the product. This includes updating schedule (sw used: MS-Project), elaboration and presentation of project status reports (using EVA – Earned Value – as the main project progress indicator, and MS-Office tools) for the test project team and upper management, management of dependencies with external teams, risks management, communication management, resources (both people and hw resources) management;
- Team management, conflicts negotiation;
- Definition of software test policies and tracking test execution;
- Creating and updating methodologies, framework, models and test process, including CMM, RUP, SCRUM, etc;
- Participation in projects using the SCRUM framework for agile software development;
- Participation in project tracking and project architecture meetings;
- Assessment of the progress and effectiveness of the test effort;
- Coordination and tracking of test plans;
- Responsible for the elaboration of test technical proposals for Telecom Carries like TIM, Oi, Claro and Vivo;
- Tracking of bug fixes found in system and field tests to refine the test process to improve the test coverage;
- Generation of test performance indicators.
