I worked as an independent consultant on web-marketing, strategy and technology issues. With Simplify.fr, a start-up specialising in medical services outsourcing, I devised a successful marketing strategy and created the visual identity and the promotion material which was used with success to build brand awareness within the French radiology community. I also prepared the specifications for the Internet operations platform and supervised its implementation tightly so that the service could be tested quickly upstream with the first prospective clients. During this period, I also advised a mid-size printing company in the conception of a customer-oriented extranet portal and launched, as a personal project, the beta version of BlogEra, a blog publishing platform, since put on hold.

From 2000 to 2003, I participated as Head of R&D in the development of SafeLogic, a technology start-up I joined as first employee and in which I had been awarded a 10% stake following two successful internships during my engineering studies.
As head of the R&D team, I conducted market and technology research and led the development of multiple security software and services, including an encryption API and a secured webmail, with my work eventually resulting in a patent and acknowledged by the French Agency for Innovation (Anvar). I also managed our development team, external contractors and suppliers on a daily basis. In addition, I played a key role in establishing recognition for our expertise and technology with SafeLogics clients (media, banking) and investors as well as the main technology consulting firms in France. As partner, I was involved in new product development decisions and undertook strategy and business development initiatives.
