Guillaume Riflet’s Summary

On the whole, I'm a thinker. I love ideas and developing them. Nonetheless, I try to concretize my thoughts on e-paper and on actions. I'm somewhat keen to evangelize an idea or an ideal I'm fond of. Don't mistake me with a salesman: I must believe what I advocate! I enjoy a lot teaching others stuff I know.
Currently, besides finishing my PhD on operational oceanography, I'm a web2.0 and Google enthusiast. I spend a great deal of my time thinking on the possibilities that emerge from the internet fertile playground and try to predict the future (I'm a heavy speculator). My main "mentor" is Tim O'Reilly from O'Reilly Media. You can see some of my discoveries and hacks in my blog (http://webtopmania.blogspot.com).
I believe heavily in collaborative web-based tools for training, teaching and producing. I aim at developing or joining an environment that values and encourages collaborative productivity.

  I took VectorE, an entrepreneurship course, and started this venture called Point.Pt - free SMS alerts. It's a web2.0 sms service built on top of twitter that aims at providing free SMS alerts, but with sponsored ads.
