January 2009 — Present (11 months)
At age 60, after 33 years of practice in Internal Medicine, I have started to organize and write down my thoughts and experiences related to the art of caring for patients. I am hopeful that these pages will be useful to younger members of the profession - those in the formative years - as well as to older health care professionals wishing to "renew their vows" so to speak.

January 2003 — Present (6 years 11 months)
I am currently a member of a 7 person hospitalist group taking care of hospitalized patients with a variety of serious medical illnesses such as congestive heart failure, pneumonia, asthma, serious infections, strokes, etc. I have been strictly a hospitalist from 2003 to June, 2009, but I am now back to combining office and hospital medicine.

1990 — Present (19 years )
I have been working on model railroad layouts for the past 19 years in my spare time. I am currently working on my fourth layout - an N-scale freelanced railroad based in the Appalachians around 1948 when steam engines were still doing most of the work. Recently, I've taken a break from my layout to develop a website containing all the information, tools and techniques needed to build a model railroad. (http://www.building-your-model-railroad.com)
