Greg Robertson’s Summary

For over 25 years, I have been creating smart, concept-driven print, broadcast, and web ads, as well as names, branding strategies, packaging and more for brands and companies of every size and most market categories.

National consumer brand clients have included AT&T • BF Goodrich • Bic • Birds' Eye • Blue Cross Blue Shield • Cadillac • Coca-Cola • Dannon • Evian • GE • Gentleman Jack • Gorton's • Labatt • Lipton • Logitech • Michelin • Norwegian Cruise Lines • Pepsi • Pizza Hut • Taco Bell • and more.

Advantage: I translate genuine understanding into results-driven creative work for my clients. Understanding the real-world demands on a business principal. Understanding how to turn client offerings into market desire. And understanding how to fuse short-term results with long-term brand growth in every marketing message.

My firm today specializes not in one industry or marketing discipline, but in clients who actively want to improve the direction of their brand(s) using smarter marketing to advance their cause. Moving the dial is always important, but moving the marketplace to want your brand there is essential.

  • Creative Partner / Consultant

    Partners+simons

(Privately Held; Marketing and Advertising industry)

    February 2002December 2003 (1 year 11 months)

I was lucky enough to be invited into the fold of this group of smart, talented people as a Creative Partner to provide concepts, writing, and brand focus while growing my PowerFlite business. Developed ads, etc. for Atelier 505, Bowditch & Dewey, Caritas Hospitals, Cognos, Colonnade Residences, Gorton's, SunLife Financial, etc. These are great people and I recommend them to any clients...except my own, of course.

  • Creative Director / Consultant (PowerFlite)

    R+D Advertising

    (Marketing and Advertising industry)

    April 2000January 2002 (1 year 10 months)

Brought in to run this small advertising and design agency's creative department, we developed print, TV, radio, collateral, DVDs, and web sites. Won more national and local creative awards during my tenure than they had won in over 10 years. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks of 2001, the client base halted virtually all marketing and the agency folded.

  • Sr. Advertising Advisor (PowerFlite)

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

    (Non-Profit; Insurance industry)

    November 1996April 2000 (3 years 6 months)

Provided creative development and strategic counsel for this health insurance leader while it had no ad agency, later finding them an agency that fit them. Specifics include:
    • Wrote and produced print & radio ads, collateral, and direct mail to help the insurance giant improve its image in the marketplace.
    • Wrote and edited 'Living Healthy' magazine.
    • Named, developed, and launched first "ahealthyme.com" website.
    • Developed and executed a 4-tier agency search that began with identifying 12 agency candidates and resulted with Parters+simons, who remains their agency.
    • Helped the new agency develop and sell in a campaign that was, at first, seen as unconventional and "risky." It became the most successful campaign in the insurer's history, winning back the trust of both consumers and business customers.
    • Oversaw production of over 20 TV spots, wrote some of the campaign's early print, transit, and radio ads, and sold them through corporate channels.
