Gregory Salveter-Taylor's Summary

I am a Syracuse University graduate with a B.S. in physics and a 3.6 GPA open to opportunities in engineering (electrical, software, QA) and technical writing. Computer-related support for physics-related tasks is of special interest to me – anything from programming to design using visual representation programs - as well as positions requiring strong written and verbal communications skills.

At IQE, Inc. I am an "MBE Technician," operating the machinery and computer software that produce semiconductor wafers intended for fabrication of transistors. I have direct interaction with engineers on a daily basis and from them learn the fundamentals of semiconductor physics.

During the summers of 2007 and 2008, I worked with astrophysicist and professor Stephan Meyer at the University of Chicago, and enjoyed employing the graphical modeling programs SolidWorks and Cobalt to assist him in his projects.
