After 10 years spent in the wine industry as a wine-tourism specialist, I've learnt the basics of social networking, community management, e-communication, e-marketing and web development (HTML, CSS, PHP, mySQL, Javascript).
I specialize now in online communities and social networks projects (advising, training and web development).
I particularly focus on 'tech projects' (dev and/or consulting) related to wine, food and digital divide in rural areas.
I also organize some web related events like BarCamps (see http://barcamp.org/GregoireJapiot).
During 2007 and 2008 I have worked on a "wine & terroir 2.0" project call Mapovino.
Mapovino is a map-based information system and social network platform focused on wine, gastronomy and agricultural products that are matching origin and sustainability criterias (kind of Slow Food values).
I have invented the name and the concept Mapovino.
The project now "comes to a halt" due to the lack of ressources of my partners in charge of the next step of the web development.
On the other hand, I have a 10 years experience as volunteer in the non-profit sector for very varied causes : helping mental disabled, helping physical disabled, fundraising for lepers, fundraising for ill-treated children, fundraising for African refugees etc.
I (try to save time to) work now on some Nonprofit Technology projects.
Crystallizing, mixing and bridging communities.
Reshaping with bottom-up philosophy and openness.
Initiating and organizing user-generated events.
