Creative Planner at SET
Japan
I was involved in Japan market entry for several years before moving into production of music, film and fashion events, overseeing some of Tokyo's most cutting-edge corporate and indie happenings. I'm currently Creative Planner at SET, a production / ad agency located in the trend-spewing mecca of Shibuya. With a treasure trove of local knowledge SET specializes in providing on-the-ground knowhow and support for overseas brands looking to get a foothold. SET also assists visiting film and television crews and is pioneering the use of branded barcodes in the world of mobile marketing.
I live and breathe global pop culture, am intimately in tune with what is going on in Japan and quietly thrilled about certain aspects of the social media revolution.
I want to help foreign firms realize their marketing goals in Japan and help local ones break from the traditions everyone is too polite to mention are hideously out-of-date.
