Marketing and Communications Manager
Richmond, Virginia Area
As of late, I have found myself mostly operating in the world of Marketing, Brand, and Communications. While it is a slight departure from my 10+ years as a interactive web designer/developer (Flash, etc), it has been an interesting opportunity to blend my web experience, honed communication and consulting skills, and a longtime passion for seeking ways to help others share their story and/or collective knowledge.
2009 highlights include:
- Dell and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the leading small-business association in the United States, recently announced the 10 U.S. finalists for the Sixth Annual Dell/NFIB Small Business Excellence Award. GroundWork Design is one of those finalists! Results will be announced late July.
- Managed a cross-functional team to design and implement a cutting-edge departmental collaboration space for the Capital One Corporate training group built on the Confluence Wiki platform
- Launched several nation-wide Andrew Shirley & Co. marketing campaigns including appearances in Bluff and Blender Magazines
- Received 7th Adobe Site of the Day award for The College of St. Benedict + St John's University Custom 2-Module "Tour", a GroundWork Design interactive Rich Media Application. (Formally Macromedia Site of the Day)
