    I served as the Director of Catholic Campus Ministry at Holy Trinity Student Parish. Holy Trinity is comprised of the Catholic faculty, staff, students and alumni of Eastern Michigan University. My duties included the administration of the chapel and its campus mission by maintaining and supporting a Catholic presence on campus, providing counseling and spiritual guidance to the university community who sought assistance at Holy Trinity, developing and implementing educational, social and religious programs geared toward college students, and fostering an inclusive environment. Our crowning achievement during these three years was the renovation and expansion of the Catholic Student Center.

    My duties included counseling, service and justice programs, liturgy planning, retreats, faculty formation, peer ministry, music ministry, prayer groups, dialogue with surrounding parishes, providing learning opportunities for parents, relevant field trips, web page design, etc. As chair of the Theology Department, I revised the curriculum, made our service learning program more dynamic, fostered relationships with Catholic universities, promoted and fostered faculty certification and created a resource network for the entire staff allowing them access to current church trends and teachings. I received a Provisional Catechesis Certificate from the Diocese of Cleveland in January 1999.

    My concentration is in Religious Education. My thesis was entitled “The Dialogue toward Doctrinal Intelligibility: The Relationship between the Ecclesial Magisterium and Theologians”.

    I held a position on Gannon University’s Graduate Council and the Student Development-Campus Ministry Committee, as well as a graduate assistantship with Resident Life.
