Professional geographer with both GIS technical skills and the intellectual breadth and perspective to apply those skills to best effect. As owner of Geographic Research and Data, LLC, I am seeking contract opportunities in regards to spatial problem-solving, specialized GIS datasets, and custom mapping. As an educator, I enjoy teaching both hands-on courses such as applied GIS and courses that help students explore ideas and connections, including courses on natural resources and on historical geography. As an independent scholar, I am researching the influence of an Indian trail on the development of towns and an important settlement system in North Carolina, and am seeking funding for this research.
