I have experience with web and print. I want to utilize both skill sets in my new job.

The main programs I use are flash, dreamweaver, illustrator and photoshop. One of the things I do is design the look of the website. I mainly use photoshop and illustrator to create these. Once the client approves the layout I slice up the design and hardcode the website. The website is then integrated with coldfusion and then modified to the client's specifications. I use flash and actionscript to create video players, audio players, scrolling sponsor boxes, and slideshows for Message and Cyber Cafes. I use dreamweaver a lot for editing websites but I make sure my code is clean and easy to work with. The types of edits I usually make are adding and editing buttons, creating calendars, image maps, and copy changes. I use style sheets to modify type on my pages.
Other responsibilites I have are creating badges for registration at the shows. I work with our print vendor to make sure the badges are printed and delivered on schedule.

Before working fulltime at eshow2000, I freelanced at Sanford, Gaston Advertising and John Barnes & Company. At Sandford I worked on packaging such as Sharpie and Uniball. At Gaston Advertising I was a photoshop retoucher. Some of their clients were Ulta, and Sears. At John Barnes I worked on a variety of packaging projects.

September 1999 — April 2006 (6 years 8 months)
Before freelancing I was a graphic designer at Tampico Beverages. The first thing I learned was how to design a label. Another role I had was helping the sales force with coupons, ads, mockups and anything they needed to sell more Tampico. Eventually I was given the task of managing the trade show booth for FMI (The Food and Marketing Institute) and WWF (World Wide Food Expo). In the process of managing the two shows I updated the booth with new signage, banners, and coordinated Tampico product for the coolers. As I got more comfortable with the labels and trade show aspect of the business, fleet graphics was next on the list. Additionally, pressproofs taught me about the limitations of flexography and how to use the knowledge of the pressman to create the best labels
possible. Another thing I learned was how to manage freelancers in terms of having them help out with our workflow.
