Grace Garcia is a Partner in the Boston office of Morrison Mahoney LLP. Ms. Garcia's practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, construction law, product liability and premises liability. In 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 she was recognized by Boston Magazine and Law & Politics as a "SuperLawyer Rising Star," a distinction given to less than 2.5% of lawyers in Massachusetts.
Ms. Garcia is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New York. She is actively involved in several bar associations and has served on the Massachusetts Bar Association's Litigation Section Council (2006-2008), the MBA's Business Law Section Council (2003-2006), the MBA's New Lawyer Section Council (2000 - 2003), co-chaired the Boston Bar Association's New Lawyer's Section (2002 - 2004), and served on the BBA's Task Force on Pro Bono and New Lawyers (2002-2003).
Ms. Garcia is currently involved with the Massachusetts Associated General Contractors Safety Committee. Additionally, Ms. Garcia served as the co-director for the Boston Chapter of the Downtown Women's Club from 2007-2009 and is now a member of its Executive Committee.
Ms. Garcia has authored several articles including: Practical Implications of the Electronic Discovery - Related FRCP Amendments, Massachusetts Bar Association Section Review (2007)(co-author); Fundamentals of Electronic Discovery, Boston Bar Journal (March/April 2003), Ethical Restraints of the Tripartite Relationship, 3:2 Massachusetts Bar Association Section Review 15 (Spring 2001); and Achieving Equitable Balance: Justice Wilkins and Chapter 93A, Boston Bar Journal (Nov./Dec. 2000)(co-author); as well as contributed articles to legal blogs.
Ms. Garcia has lectured for various continuing legal education programs on electronic discovery, document retention, and deposition techniques. Further, Ms. Garcia was a Legal Writing and Research Instructor for Boston University School of Law's first year J.D. program from 2003 to 2006.
