I work where I feel I am at the epicenter of change! I like to lead and coach people to think.
PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Perl, C++, Performance Tuning, Cross Data Center Software Architecture, and more.. throw me the unknown, and I'll make it known in no time. I can even do your company's balance sheet if you don't have a CFO, or run your entire sales force, no kidding!

As a development engineer, I am responsible for variety of tasks in Yahoo! Search. I work primarily on the platform which serves Yahoo! Search Shortcuts. I have developed internal tools from back-end PHP/Perl/MySQL stack all the way to front-end HTML/CSS/JavaScript stack which serves large amount of data to Yahoo! Search across 32 nations. I also developed XML/JSON web services, serving Yahoo! Front Page, and Yahoo! Search Rich Ads which was featured in a New York Times article. I've used http load testing tools like Siege and profilers like Callgrind to detect code bottleneck and shoot for optimization strategies.

As a quality engineer I built an automated regression test system to test Yahoo! oneSearch's backend APIs. I designed test cases to cover 100% of commonly known user query patterns, and a reasonable percentage of ambiguous queries by mining query logs. I also developed and documented a series of troubleshooting steps and coached other employees on how to efficiently troubleshoot, triage, and report issues, non of which was impossible without understanding the entire software architecture and having the people skills necessary to communicate tasks and issues effectively.
