May 1998 — August 1998 (4 months)
This was a temporary job that I took primarily for the educational value. Fingerhut is a mail order catalog giant – I worked closely with Stylists, Set Builders, Assistants, Lighting Gurus, Art Directors and Studio Leads. We shot mostly in studio but had some great location shoots.
I had the opportunity to light and photograph everything from Diamond rings, to Vacuums, to Pillows, to entire room sets. We used models when needed. Often we used upwards of 40 lights for a set.
It was one of the best photography education experiences I have had - learning in the trenches.

1988 — 1996 (8 years )
This position was my very first introduction to the printing and graphics industries. I started as a college student and stayed on for a number of years afterwards.
Basically I printed books - on every press that they had in the shop. I became the top preformer, and consistantly had the lowest waste factors.
Being a highly creative individual - I was feeling shackled to the presses and needed to move on and up.
