President & Chief Mastermind, pixcode Inc.
Toronto, Canada Area
I've been lucky enough to have amassed a wide range of experiences that come together nicely in my role at pixcode. I started my first business at 9, and spent the bulk of my teenage years working in my parents' business.
As Chief Mastermind/Visioneer, it is my job to keep new ideas in the hopper and to keep projects fresh and current. For instance, I founded Wellergize as a spin-off of NaturalHealthcare.ca to meet the demands of clients looking for specific (and alternative) products and services in the workplace wellness field. I assessed the market and needs, and then assembled the team to match that assessment.
Having a wider ranging background means that I can spot niches and markets that open up in front of us, and rely on the depth of my contact base to ensure that we are positioned to take advantage of it.
Past experience includes:
* Telecom and computerized answering service software/hardware maintenance;
* Management Consulting & business analysis;
* Restaurant Manager (also worked front line customer service in retail briefly);
* Designer and Lead Developer for a CMS; and
* CTO for a New Media company.
I also have past lives as model, cheerleading captain. and fashion designer, but don't hold that against me ;-)

A division of pixcode Inc., NaturalHealthcare.ca (NHC) brings information about Canadian natural health practitioners, products, services, manufacturers, stores, and venues, from Acupuncture to Zizyphus, and presents them in an easily searched format for the general public.
We've also just spun out a new brand, Wellergize™ - it handles the workplace wellness business so as not to interfere with/dilute the NHC brand. Need posters, Krames materials, handout, practitioners, speakers, workshops, or help coordinating wellness fairs? That's what the new arm does.
