I am an administrative assistant at Gateways, Access to Jewish Education. This is a job that uses my skills, challenges me, and gives me my brain back at the end of the workday so I can take care of my family, as well as fulfilling my primary requirement that I feel like I'm working for the greater good.
I have over ten years of administrative experience. My experience includes general facilitation of colleagues' needs, editing newsletters, data entry, travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, word processing, spreadsheet development, proofreading, maintaining office inventories, technical support, web design (using raw HTML and FrontPage), and database design (using Lotus Notes and Filemaker Pro). I have a number of proven strategies for managing priorities and meeting deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.
In addition, while I am not qualified as a full-service bookkeeper, I understand basic accounting principles. I have used Quickbooks and the in-house accounting system at Boston University for A/P, A/R, and budget reports and projections.
