The HSPA’s mission is to to rebuild the reputation of the sales profession we love so much.
We will work to instill an attitude of trust and respect for salespeople everywhere. We will turn the thrust-and-parry attitude between buyers and sellers into one of cooperation and collaboration.
We will teach honorable, ethical, non abrasive sales methods to salespeople and sales managers. We will teach the consumers of the world how to spot salesdrip tactics so those tactics cease to work.
We dream of a world where salespeople are revered for their knowledge and integrity, rather than shunned for their manipulative, self-centered ways.
The HSPA will create that world.

On Oct. 8, 1983, Cindy married me. I can't think of a single thing in my life that equals this honor.
In ‘76 and ‘77 my juggling and balancing act was the finale of my high school's homecoming weekend variety show. In '76 I received a standing ovation when I closed my act by balancing a 10-speed bicycle on my chin. In '77 I received a second standing ovation when I tied two 10-speed bikes together and balanced both.
My mother-in-law actually likes me.
The first time I rode my bike 100 miles in one day was the ‘99 El Tour De Tucson. I was the first male from Missouri to finish the 111-mile race. (Don’t know how many males from Missouri rode. ;-)
I'm a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Team In Training (TNT) "10+ Club" -- I completed eight TNT 100-mile bike rides, one marathon and one half marathon, and Cindy and I raised more than $50,000 for the LLS.
The only business-related honor I care about is when someone has enough faith in me to refer me to a friend.
