Communications Coordinator / Editor at Women's Inter-Church Council of Canada
Toronto, Canada Area
Enthusiastic and committed, I enjoy learning, problem-solving and accomplishing tasks at a high level. I'm more of a generalist than a specialist, preferring to use a range of skills and test myself against a variety of challenges. Although I always strive for perfection, I prefer to help others to reach their goals rather than competing with them. I gain a great deal of energy from teamwork and new opportunities, and I love to brainstorm ideas and innovative possibilities.
I enjoy writing, editing, design and layout. One of my recent accomplishments was helping to plan, design and implement our new organizational website. I'm currently working on expanding my skills in this area by improving my knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and learning Dreamweaver.
Newly added to my work portfolio is responsibility for marketing and promotion. I worked with a Marketing Consultant last year, who provided guidance and a framework, and I am now increasing my skills in this area by developing awareness campaigns, promotional materials and press releases.
I'm also studying French, with a goal of attaining conversational competency. I look forward to testing my new language skills when I visit Paris this spring.
In the future, I would like to apply my skills in a work setting closer to my parents in my home province of New Brunswick.
