Giles Phelps’s Summary
I am a non traditional multi discipline integrated creative. Under the mantle of slipmode I’ve been creatively joining forces for well over a decade as a fluid thinking multi discipline communications creative, who lives for creating cross-media solutions with style and originality. Creating outstanding cross platform integrated 360 campaigns that utilise my abilities as creative, director, designer, musician, photographer & digital tech head with over a decade of experience with film, television, design, digital, experiential & advertising. As a strategist at heart I’m always striving to deliver the differentiating point of view to give brands maximum ROI, I’m not so much about winning awards, more about emptying shelves, maybe even building a few factories along the way...
With a background that started way back in 1990, as an assistant to an advertising photographer, who later I went on to produce TV commercials for. This led to me working in the mid 90’s for some great Soho production companies, and even a feature film or two. After a two year stint in LA, I came back to London did my MA, then I co-founded Slipmode Ltd as a platform for being a creative team, as an individual creative, and as a graphic communications studio. I have enjoyed working on many briefs, from film to giant multi digital interactive screens. From Guerilla stunts to international motor shows. From MPU’s to 96 sheets to digital outdoor and even: a solo show at the ICA, a coffee table book, a DVD with the Pet Shop Boys, and web site or two... Always believing that creativity is a journey - not a destination... earning me the reputation as "one the most diverse creatives in london"
