Principal Consultant

Ernitech Consulting Group

October 2008December 2009 (1 year 3 months)

My team specialized in remediation and re-alignment of stalled projects, mostly in the ERP field.

We assisted clients, the majority of which are in transition between the SME and MNC categories, in deploying IT infrastructure and business applications for their growth. This is rarely a period of ease, and change management (or at least change awareness) is critical to prevent stalling.

My role was often to mediate between the technical team and the business stakeholders, and ensure that the Board understands fully the costs and benefits of any project; and the risks that accompany any transition.

I was responsible for the global IT infrastructure of the US$2 billion MNC.

eSys started in 2000 as a Singapore–based distributer of PC components. By 2007, eSys had operations in 37 countries, The hallmark of this organisation has been its low operating costs.

Throughout this time, I was tasked with providing an IT and communication infrastructure that would support the scale of operations, and their growth, yet would not cause us to approach industry standards on costs. My team put together highly robust systems which delivered messaging, voice communication, and an award–winning ERP implementation.

In Nov 2006, I was asked to join the Board of Directors of eSys Technologies Pte Ltd (the Group Holding Company), as well as some of the other cross-holding entities.
