Maintain. Empower Myself. Empower Others. Balance.

• Maintain: Take exceptional care of the things that take care of me. This includes the appropriate amount of sleep, exercise, alcohol and food. It also includes all other personal activities in moderation. It is only through taking exceptional care of myself that I will be able to take exceptional care of other people and things that are important to me. After taking care of myself, my relationships become the next priority. Relationships are a product of time, effort and communication, so it is important to proactively pursue, develop and maintain those relationships. The next priority is stewardship over those assets which protect, support and serve me and my family.

• Empower Myself: Proactively, relentlessly pursue the acquisition and application of knowledge which helps me move forward. Personal growth and the ability to cope with change can only occur through seeking out and applying new knowledge. As Einstein said, “Today’s problems cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” Therefore, personal growth is the key to success and progress in any endeavor.

• Empower Others: As an agent of change, as an independent person, reach out and help others achieve their potential. Understand their paradigms, and look for appropriate opportunities to coach, counsel, consult and teach. Empowering others to reach their dreams, desires and goals is my dream, my desire, my goal and my gift.

• Balance: Seek to strike and maintain a balance of the first three mission elements, recognizing and constructively responding to the dynamic and fluid nature of life’s events and opportunities.

In summary, my mission leads me not to be in a position of power, but to become an empowering force.
