Georg Mayer joined Nokia in November 2002. Before that he worked for seven years within Siemens Private and Mobile Telecommunication Networks divisions on ISDN, SIP and IMS related architecture, and protocol standardization.
Since 2000 he attends the 3GPP CT1 standardization group, in which SIP and other IETF-based protocols are adopted for the usage within the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).
Georg is currently working as a Senior Specialist at Nokia and is co-author of the book "The IMS. IP Multimedia Concepts and Services". He regularly holds IMS trainings at Oxford University (CPD).
