George A. Scott Jr., JD, MBA's Summary

I am an attorney with the Corporate & Securities and Sports and Entertainment Groups in my firm’s Tysons Corner office.

As an attorney with the Corporate & Securities Group, I concentrate my practice on the representation of middle market and emerging companies in complex mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions. I routinely counsel clients on corporate governance issues, corporate reorganizations, fund formations, and distressed mergers and acquisitions. My experience includes advising clients in the finance, technology, sports and entertainment, and healthcare industries.

As an attorney with the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Group, I serve as legal counsel to professional athletes, entertainers, and entertainment companies seeking to develop and monetize their brands, raise capital for their ventures, and invest in start-up and emerging companies. As a former athlete, coach and entertainment executive, I provide a practical perspective to my sports and entertainment clients.

Prior to entering the legal profession, I was an Account Executive at a leading full-service global investment banking and securities firm and earned my MBA in Management. My combined understanding of business and the law provides additional value to my clients.

*I am currently licensed to practice law in DC, VA, NC, and SC.
