George specializes in designing and building custom data management systems for small and medium sized businesses.
We build database solutions using MS Access and MS SQL Server.
We analyze organization workflows and design data management processes to support them.
I specialize in revising existing databases (primarily table schema) which are not performing as expected. Inappropriate table design is the most common reason "home-grown" databases are inflexible, inefficient and prone to collecting bad data.
Normalization, or the process of converting bad table design to good table design, is one of my key strengths. I build relational models that work now, scale up as your business grows, and offer flexibility as your business model changes.

Doing business as Grover Park Consulting, I provide Data Management Services to small and medium sized organizations.
My specialty is working with existing databases (MS Access or MS SQL Server) to resolve design and performance problems.
The most important element in creating databases that are efficient, flexible and scalable is to start with a solid data model, or table schema. I follow the principles of Normalization--supplemented with my own conceptual models of table design--to make your database work better for you.
I wrote Grover Park George On Access as a guide for new Access users based, in part, on my own experience. It is the book I looked for, and couldn't find, when I was just starting out with Access.
