Developer and Consultant at Sensio Labs
Paris Area, France
Self-made web developer, very comfortable on a LAMP platform, but will do the job with ruby and python as well. Some *nix skills (as a backup for a busy sysadmin eg) and daily Linux usage as a workstation. I'll occasionally write some ruby or python to relax after a hard php day.
Continuously learning new things, new technologies (mainly OOP related), curious, geeky, with good adaptation capabilities, I need an environment which regularly provides me with new technologic playgrounds and intellectual challenges, no matter the language (I'm not PHP centric), no matter the platform (as long as it runs on some kind of *nix). As a matter of fact, I'm well versed in the mechanics of open-source (licensing issues, contributing, etc).
I'm now looking for opportunities to do full/part-time R&D on web technologies and/or develop quality processes and methodologies around my main skills.
Deep knowledge and understanding of PHP and how it works. Familiar with a large set of web technologies. Continuously expanding skillset, especially in the area of so-called "web2" technologies, especially focusing on the symfony PHP5 framework.

I've been developing, refactoring and optimizing medium to large scale website and apps using the Symfony framework in various domains, including:
- document / content management
- corporate websites
- intranets
- internal applications
I've been working either alone (under the direction of a project manager) or within a team, generally of 2 or 3 developers.
My work as a developer involved the use of the symfony framework (from version 1.0 to 1.3) on a daily basis. I've been also working on light system administration tasks, such as server maintenance and configuration and project deployment.
As a result of my work at Sensio Labs, I have acquired a good understanding and knowledge of the symfony framework.
