Principal Consultant at Jireh Consulting Services
New Zealand
I am a lifelong Wellingtonian who has never lived anywhere else because I love this fantastic city, even though my work regularly takes me to other parts of New Zealand, and sometimes overseas.
I part-own and lead the JD Edwards application services provided by Jireh Consulting Services – JD Edwards (JDE) is an Oracle Applications product.
I also work as a freelance project manager through Jireh Consulting Services – through which I express my interest in business and personal effectiveness.
I am also a business and personal leadership skills coach through Top Performers – through which I express my interest in developing people.
I write on these and other topics at GavinKnight.com and I am an active poster on Twitter.

I like to feel that my involvement in something is making a positive difference. I look to involve myself with people, and in activities, where I can be part of making the world a better place. This applies to my work, and also to out of work. My weekends are spent enjoying family and friends, and with church activities. My children and I enjoy Wellington, particularly its parks, walks and coastline. My son and I are keen, but not particularly successful, surf-casting fishermen. I read a lot, increasingly online rather than books. I am an active observer of current affairs, national and international politics in particular. I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to understanding personal technology. I bring to teams of which I am part, to my clients and to life in general a desire to make the world a better place. Nothing motivates me more than being part of creating an environment where people get to live out their potential.
