Gary Will (garywill.com)’s Summary
Through Communitech and WatStart, I work with high-tech startup companies in the Waterloo area. As of 2008, Communitech's entrepreneur services group has grown to include three executives in residence, and between the four of us and other resources in the community, we assist startup companies with whatever issues they're facing, from funding to business strategy to recruitment and anything else. The services are all provided at no cost to entrepreneurs, thanks to contributions from NRC's IRAP and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. WatStart runs several events through the year -- social and educational -- for startup entrepreneurs and has a website at watstart.ca with resources for tech startups.
I've also been writing about the Waterloo tech scene since 1997 as the editor of the Waterloo Tech Digest and a past contributor to The Record, the daily newspaper serving Waterloo Region. I also write the tech business column for Rex Magazine.
