New York City-resident Gary Welz is a man of many titles; he is an actor, a college professor, and an accomplished playwright. As an actor, Mr. Gary Welz has found success on the stage and on the screen, which has exposed him to more opportunities in the entertainment world. Gary Welz’s impressive stage work includes roles in “The Bald Soprano,” “Trouble in the Works,” “In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer,” “The Naked Happy Hour,” and “Poor Bobby,” in which he played the title characters The Shake and J.B. Mr. Gary Welz has also presented at both “Personal Relationship Management Event” and “The Naked Happy Hour.” Gary Welz often finds himself talking in front of an audience. In his role as a math teacher at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Mr. Welz walks his student through the steps involved in finite mathematics, probability, statistics, and calculus. Gary Welz also performs stand-up comedy routines at numerous venues, including Comic Strip Live, Caroline's on Broadway, B3 Comedy Lounge, Collective Unconscious, and Rififi, A.K.A. Cinema Classics, and Gary Welz had made his mark in some of New York’s finest comedy hot spots. Gary Welz is not only an actor; he has also tackled a different role in the world of performance art as a playwright. In the late 1980s, an inspired Gary Welz finished writing a play he called, “Hello, I Must Be Going,” and in the year 2005, it was read before a live audience at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Welz holds a B.A. and an M.S. from Bedford College, a constituent school of University of London.
