Summarize my professional experience? OK, here goes. I was exposed to the Internet in 1994 when I worked in a marketing capacity for a defense contractor. I saw funny symbols like @ and http:// and was very intrigued. I taught myself HTML and took night courses @ a local community college in Photoshop and Quark. I set off as a freelance web designer in 1996 and soon got hired full-time by DigiKnow, Inc.. I quickly transitioned into an account planning and management capacity either because of my poor coding skills or due to my ability to work with people to bring their marketing aspirations to fruition using the Internet. I hope it was the latter. It's been a very fun and challenging 13 years living on the Internet.
Social media communications, Internet marketing strategy, website development, content management systems, new media account management, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, blog setup/management, social media press releases, rich media development, multimedia development, podcasting, public speaking, online media buying, widget development, online crisis communications, online promotions and surveys and Twitter. I love Twitter.

May 2007 — January 2009 (1 year 9 months)
I directed the PWA Digital practice area which included external and internal facing responsibilities. For our clients, it involved recommending/executing internet-based programs. For Werth staff and the business itself, it included on-going new media education and the implementation of Web based tools/services.
Focus area included social media programs (such as blogging, Facebook, online media outreach, etc), SEO/SEM, website/intranet development, web analytics, information architecture/usability and email marketing.
The unique aspect of this position was the opportunity to combine my digital solutions with other Werth service areas: PR, Advertising, Public Affairs and Research. Delivering integrated, custom solutions for our clients has been very rewarding and "on trend" for the coming years.
