Gary Koelling’s Summary
I grew up on a farm wanting to be a writer, went away to the city and learned how to write then became an advertising account guy. I didn't like that so I became an advertising Copywriter. I worked at some cool agencies on cool brands. I liked that a lot. Then I became a Creative Director and that was pretty fun too.
My current title is "Sr. Manager, Social Technology" at Best Buy Inc. I am the founder of BlueShirtNation.com, Giftag.com and lead several social technology projects within Best Buy. I'm a tinkerer, gadfly (aspiring iconoclast), reader, tryer (someone who tries), teacher and listener (with a fairly tuned bullshit meter). I talk to lots of people and companies around the country (USA) about social media and social technology. i don't know if it's helping, but I enjoy it. And though most people didn't believe me when i told them, I used to feel I was better off angry. These days I guess I'm learning that angry's not enough.
