PR Specialist, Web Editor at MedCentral Health System
Columbus, Ohio Area
Gary is a public relations pro, web editor and problem solver for a north central Ohio health care system. His work there has ranged from internal and external communication to leading efforts to improve customer satisfaction. He's had the chance to write about high-tech medical procedures, lead the marketing efforts of a fitness center and drive participation in employee wellness programs.
He previously worked as a reporter and editor for two daily newspapers and one weekly. His first professional assignment - covering a three-hour village council meeting in Edison, Ohio - resulted in a story leading with the council's decision to purchase fill dirt. Fortunately, things got more interesting from there, and Gary had the chance to do everything from taking a flying lesson to having a live bobcat jump on his back. Mostly those years were spent writing about local crime and politics and meeting many people (some semi-famous).
Now a new media explorer, he enjoys working in a diverse and growing professional atmosphere.
