After 8 years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy, Gary Helwig left the Navy to become a telecommunications engineer. He spent 20 years as a telecommunications engineer designing and implementing communications networks. Mr Helwig was actively involved in many Internet Start-Up Companies and was both a member of senior management and a key technology asset in designing the Internet infrastructure for those companies.
When the Internet Bubble burst in 2000, Gary Helwig left the Internet arena to work in the family business making and selling jewelry making tools. Mr. Helwig currently holds three patents for jewelry tools and works exclusively managing and updating the http://www.wigjig.com web site.
